If you are an engineering student looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an opening for you! This co-op role is a great opportunity to support the Professional Tools business. Based in our Orange, VA location, you will assist with many different aspects of the manufacturing department. You will build work instructions, perform time studies, and participate or lead project improvement processes. In this role, our co-op will be embedded in the engineering group on the manufacturing floor with production personnel. We are searching for a candidate who is available to work full-time throughout the year, or is able to return for multiple co-op rotations in 2025.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Crafting and updating work instructions. Updating Job Safety Analysis PC support including end-of-lease PC swaps, PC and printer troubleshooting. Updating documents for company intranet on SharePoint Other duties and projects as assigned.Who You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need:
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering or a related field. Legal Authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Must be comfortable wearing PPE and working on a manufacturing floor.Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
Knowledge of SharePoint and Visio. CNC programming knowledge or CAM software knowledge. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to address practical problems and look after a variety of concrete variables in situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Previous manufacturing knowledge or experience.Our Offer To You:
