This position reports to the Senior Director, Engineering & Production Technology or Operations Engineering team in Calgary and is responsible for providing engineering support in process/mechanical design, reliability and project management activities. This role will interact with internal and external parties at all levels, and is expected to consistently apply exceptional interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills. Having a customer service approach and setting priorities on a day-to-day and long-term basis are essential functions to satisfying the primary requirements of this position.
This Position is for a January 2025, 4 or 8-month Co-op term, based on Calgary, AB at the ASHCOR office. Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites occasionally.
What Else You Get To Do:
For all assigned projects, act as the point of contact for Operations, Engineering, and other internal groups. Support engineering and operations teams with process and mechanical troubleshooting, process optimization, and management of change. Drafting and updating of PFD’s, P&ID’s, Line Lists, SDK, control philosophy, and other engineering-controlled documents (under direction of lead engineer). Act as project manager on all assigned projects or tasks; including planning, scheduling, execution, cost tracking, and forecasting. Updating asset management records with reports generated by field staff, inspectors, and engineers. Employ a “safety-first” attitude and ensure all HSE requirements are followed.Who you are:
Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate degree in Engineering; Mechanical or Chemical is preferred. Experienced or knowledge in Microsoft Office 365 Apps. (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Forms). Well-developed interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Flexibility, initiative, resourcefulness, and the ability to work as an effective team member Excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to prioritize conflicting demands, and the ability to present critical information to field operations and company management in a simple and concise manner.
