Your OpportunityOur Process Water Team (Calgary) has an opportunity for a twelve to sixteen-month co-op term expected to commence in May 2025. Opportunity to work on-site at various locations within Calgary, ensuring exposure to different environments and projects. Collaboration and connection with experienced senior leaders who provide mentorship and guidance to support your professional development and with junior/intermediate peers who provide a strong team network. Work directly with a larger, multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration and innovative problem-solving. Engage in a wide variety of work projects, offering the chance to expand your skills and experience across different industries and disciplines. These tasks include research for up-to-date techniques, calculations, field work, project coordination, reporting, and meeting attendance and recording. Your Key Responsibilities Provide general support to engineers and technologists within the Process Water group. Support the field construction and commissioning team on ongoing projects. This involves: Monitoring and reporting on current construction activities Assisting the commissioning lead with startup and commissioning activities. Onsite document management including deficiency reviews, asset management, document review, and quality assurance. Uses knowledge of the general concepts of relevant basic engineering elements. Generate preliminary calculations and reports. Review drawings and complete audits on relevant project design elements. Performs due diligence and research on projects as required to provide the background information to start new projects. Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned. Your Capabilities and Credentials Highly motivated, willing to work in a team-oriented environment, and ready to commit to Stantec's strategic initiative to be among the #1 Most Sustainable Corporation Among Industry Peers firm. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential, including interpersonal and verbal abilities within a multi-discipline team environment. Must be well organized to be able to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments.
