Engineering Consultant - PLM Systems

This role will support the operations and enhancements of software solutions for improved efficiency and quality in the product lifecycle management (PLM) tools used by an Global Automotive OEM. Serve as an expert on design practices and provide training, coaching to engineers on best design practices for systems including CATIA, ENOVIA, 3DExperience, ARAS/AHEAD.ResponsibilitiesSupport and work with PLM and IT teams as needed to ensure a unified user experience delivery.Support testing and confirmation of Jira tickets related to AHEAD development and enhancements.Provide support to questions related to the AHEAD platform from multiple function area users.Work with IT on documenting bugs and enhancements for future deployment.Track change points and test enhancements in QA and ITB environments.Collaborate with global operations teams on a regular basis to improve AHEAD development.Manage projects assigned by monitoring and tracking the progress of projects and handle any issues that arise.  Report the progress and escalate any issues to management as needed. Maintain responsibility for meeting the project deadlines.Support the development of automation solutions including but not limited to templates, UDFs, macros. Deploy and evaluate developed tools and solutions.Support development and delivery of training/coaching on CATIA V5, Enovia, 3DX, Design practices and PLM process.Analyze and resolve problems with moderate level of guidance and direction.  RequirementsMinimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5+ years of relevant industry experience using CATIA V5, V6/3DExperience, ARAS/AHEAD.Education with the following specialties preferred: Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing. Experience creating automation solutions in CATIA V5,V6 using templates, macros. Two or more years doing development projects in CATIA using applications like VBA, , KWA (CAA is bonus)Experience in various automotive & product engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
