The Engineering Manager is overall in charge of all the activities within the Department. The Department consists of Subsea XTs and Tools.
The Department Manager is responsible for providing engineering resources and competence within their disciplines to support projects and the business.

The Department Manager shall have a strong interface with the other engineering departments to ensure optimal support, avoid duplication, drive synergies, and ensure common processes. Align competence development strategies throughout the engineering departments.
This position reports to the Regional Engineering Leader.
As an Engineering Department Manager - Mechanical Component, you will be responsible for:
Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. This work would include mechanical and/or electrical engineering for all products
Develops operational plan for the own department.
Expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise based upon precedents.
Engaged in customizing projects to client needs. Conveys technical information both to clients and to colleagues out of other functions.
Play supportive role in knowledge management gathering data and storing them in a system.
Track and comply with KPI targets
Develop the team, tracking training plans and assigning courses when needed
Take care of, and improve, relationships with other functions in the business and provide necessary support to them.

To be successful in this role you will:
Minimum Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Proven years of experience in Mechanical Component
Proven experience leading teams
Proven experience in O&G subsea equipment
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Ability to influence others and lead teams.
Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
Effective problem identification and solution skills.
Proven analytical and organizational ability.
Experienced with Creo design tool.
