Engineering Design Assistant **Required Qualifications** **(as evidenced by an attached resume)** **:** Associates degree (foreign equivalent or higher) and a two (2) year apprenticeship in one of the trade areas such as Carpentry or Electrical. In lieu of a degree, a four (4) year apprenticeship in one of the trade areas such as Carpentry or Electrical may be considered. Supervision of construction. **Preferred Qualifications:** Planning and/or crew administration experience. **Brief Description of Duties:** Working under supervision, incumbents design and construct a wide variety of models and devices following limited written or oral instructions. Complete assignments as described by the general nature and purpose of equipment of device. **Duties:** + Perform laboratory construction of advanced difficulty in planning and designing with the ability to read blueprints. + Monitor budgets and timelines. + May assign and check tasks performed by others assigned to assist in the work when completing large projects or programs. + Other duties as assigned. **Special Notes:** The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation.
