Engineering Design Manager and Operations Integration Manager

Become part of Barclays Corporate Real Estate Services (CRES) team as an Engineering Design and Operations Integration Manager.  In this significant role, you will be part of the CRES Team delivering our largest and most complex Program in our Global portfolio – the rebuild of Barclays US headquarters at 745 7th Avenue. The Program consists of approximately 1 million RSF of office, trading, amenities, lobby, and support infrastructure spaces that will be repositioned and renovated in phases while the building is fully occupied and operational. This is an amazing opportunity where you will oversee technical design for building infrastructure projects to ensure the correct outcomes for the Bank, and development and execution of building engineering infrastructure projects and proposals in-line with the bank’s specifications, sustainability initiatives and regulatory requirements.

To thrive in this role as an Engineering Design Manager and Operations Integration Manager you will need previous experience in the following areas:


•    Design background in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing)
•    Building engineering operations experience within the financial sector or equivalent corporate environment (including critical technology rooms) 
•    Qualified in either Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
•    Experience of delivering building engineering services in a mixed portfolio of critical and complex environments during occupancy (e.g. trade floors, data centers, campuses, call centers)
•    Demonstrable experience of risk and incident management within critical and complex environments

•    Experience of delivering engineering solutions across a large portfolio

This role is based in New York, NY.


Minimum Salary:  $184,750.00
Maximum Salary: $204,868.00

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any another type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To develop strategy, plan, direct, control and manage the delivery and operations of building engineering infrastructure services in partnership with service providers across the Banks property portfolio. To ensure safety, compliance, resilience, reliability, risk mitigation and business requirements are met.  

Accountabilities

Client function management of maintenance, delivery, and operation of building engineering infrastructure assets across the Bank’s property portfolio including the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance and assets delivering utilities such as electricity, gas and water.  .Provision of strategic direction, governance, and technical advisory expertise to internal and external stakeholders to drive optimisation, efficiency, safety, compliance, resilience, reliability and mitigate risk for building engineering infrastructure across the property portfolio.  .Management and leadership of technical services and energy management practices and guidance in relation to building engineering infrastructure. Ensuring that all policies, procedures and guidelines are consistently applied and that risks are effectively managed and controlled.  .Implementation of compliance with all country legislation, regulatory requirements, and the Banks policies/procedures/regulatory requirements in relation to the building engineering infrastructure, through the review, audit and performance management of the services.  .Management of capital investment planning and strategy for building infrastructure assets to ensure safety, resilience, reliability, and compliance, whilst driving innovation, sustainability, optimisation and value.    .End to end management, development and execution of building engineering infrastructure projects and proposals in-line with the banks specifications, sustainability initiatives, regulatory requirements, evolving industry best practice, safety, quality, on time and at competitive cost.  .Management and coordination of various building engineering infrastructure suppliers delivering services to the Bank.  .Implementation of sustainability policies and processes to align environmental legislation and regulatory compliance across the portfolio, including carbon reporting of the global footprint.  .Development of energy management strategies to reduce the banks energy consumption and costs through energy audits, implementation of energy efficient technologies and the identification of energy saving opportunities to achieve the Banks net zero targets.   .
