Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Document Control Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing design drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with PFAS regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and the ability to work independently.
ResponsibilitiesReview and interpret design drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with PFAS regulations.Follow and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) accurately.Understand and interpret PFAS regulations, which encompass a wide range of substances (approximately 4700 substances).Work independently without the need for co-location, demonstrating strong self-management and organizational skills.Identify parts and subassemblies in legacy drawings and part/component documentation that could potentially contain PFAS.Create and maintain spreadsheets for tracking parts and subassemblies that could contain PFAS.Rule out parts that are not of concern, such as metal parts.Manually review BOMs to understand product or assembly compositions and list them appropriately.Potentially reach out to vendors for off-the-shelf parts to confirm the absence of PFAS.Essential SkillsAbility to read and interpret drawings and the associated BOMs.Familiarity with Excel and creating spreadsheets.Attention to detail.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Additional Skills & QualificationsProven experience in document control, particularly in reviewing design drawings and specifications.Strong understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs).General knowledge of PFAS and the ability to interpret related regulations.Excellent organizational skills.Work Environment
