Engineering Intern

Your Role

The Engineering Intern will operate in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment which requires flexibility, adaptability, initiative as well as excellent organization and problem-solving skills.  This position will be located in Cupertino, CA.

Key job responsibilities for this role include:

Assist design / development of electrified products and electrical system solutions for a leading EV OEM in the Bay areaCoordinate design and design change activities for various electrified vehicle customersWork closely with product development teams to align Aptiv technology with customer needs and business pursuitLead implementation of the latest technologies into Aptiv product designsExploit Aptiv product differentiators that provides a competitive advantage (technology, cost, quality, services)Leverage Aptiv organizations/products into technical solution proposals for new business opportunitiesWork with Aptiv sales and Business Lines to ensure business objectives are metCreate and deliver technically strong customer presentationsSupport, and work closely, with Aptiv Electrification teams in other regionsAvailable to monitor and participate in harness and customer launch activitiesEnsure compliance with customer specific requirements

Experience & Qualifications:

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferably Junior standing Electrical or Mechanical1+ years' experience in a team environmentExcellent Communication skills – written and verbalAbility to proactively approach clientsVerbal & Non-verbal communication skills important to work with customersMulti-tasking team player with a hands-on approach

Nice to have:

Bi-lingual (Spanish)Exposure to manufacturing environmentCAD experience
