Hexcel is currently seeking an Engineering Intern for our Salt Lake City Matrix, UT, USA location.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
The completion of assigned projects that will utilize skills learned in formal education program. Project based work as assigned by department manager will vary but may include:Analyzing and interpreting manufacturing techniques, procedures, and processing conditions in the production of resins and pre-preg materials and carbon fiberPerform testing on electrical/mechanical components and recommend improvementsData analysis in support of process and productivity improvementsAssisting with inspections of equipmentSafety analysis and improvement projectsDevelopment of engineering cost proposals and project schedulingThe qualified individuals hired into this program will rotate through key areas of Hexcel, which may include: Project Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Management, Safety Engineering, Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering.Qualifications:
Sophomore or junior level in a B.S. degree program from an accredited college or university in Materials Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or Civil Engineering Ability to work effectively as a team member Excellent written and verbal communication skills Current computer literacy including Microsoft Office ProductsExposure to Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma continuous improvement programs preferredExperience with CAD and/or Minitab preferredEligible candidates must be a: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum.
