Engineering Intern

Our summer internships provide ambitious undergraduates the chance to gain real world experience in their field of study. We provide challenging, professional experience with a global corporation, where you learn from and work alongside Donaldson employees. This internship will take place at our Cresco, IA location, over a 10–12 week period during summer 2025.

Responsibilities:

Leads or assists with engineering projects through all phases – concept through closure.Improves current production methods, standards, tooling, procedures, equipment, and plant layout as a basis for improving safety and quality, increasing production, and reducing cost.Resolves problems and discusses solutions with all appropriate personnel.Contributes to cost reduction and quality improvement projects.Develops best practice methods and communicates these methods to all appropriate plant personnel.

Minimum Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program pursuing a bachelor’s degree in: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Material Science Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to collaborate and communicate with a variety of people in multiple functionsMinimum 3.0 out of a 4.0 cumulative GPAMechanical aptitude and an authentic interest in working with machineryElectronic PLC experience a plusProficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)Energetic self-starter who seeks innovative solutions Excellent oral and written communications skillsStrong prioritization and problem-solving abilities
