During your time as an engineering intern with the Iowa DOT, you will have the opportunity to: + estimating engineering time and resources associated with developing plans for highway and bridge projects + maintaining schedules and other information in our project management software + creating reports to illustrate project delays and cost increases + reviewing invoices from engineering firms for compliance with contracts + work directly with a team of engineers and project managers Training will be provided. Duration: Full-time summer; May-August (40 hours/week); transition to part-time during fall semester (up to 20 hours/week); hours are flexible. Minimum Qualification Requirements Completion of at least two years in civil, construction, materials, or transportation engineering, or in an engineering management curriculum at an accredited four-year college or university with eligibility for junior status upon return to school.
