Overview

Assist in the design, implementation, and modification of the shop layout and work holding fixture models. 

Key Responsibilities

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design software applications.Applies creative problem-solving skills.Enjoys working with operations and engineers to create innovative solutions.2D layouts and 3D modeling.Estimates durations for project development and meets deadlines.Frequent contact with internal customers.Reports to Manufacturing Engineering Manager or Supervisor. 

Experience

Course work in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 1 to 3 years of work experience.Has a working knowledge of SolidWorks and DraftSight.Experience with drawing specifications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Familiarity with 2D layouts and 3D modeling.Desire to learn scanning technology.Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
