KBR is seeking to hire an Engineering Intern to support Hardware Systems Engineering for KBR’s Mission Technology Solutions. 

The ENGINEERING INTERN will participate in various learning opportunities designed to expose students to multiple disciplines in the following areas ranging from: Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering & Integration, and Test. KBR supports the US Government with technical expertise for system requirements, hardware design and manufacturability. Throughout this internship, the Hardware Systems Engineering department is looking to develop a well-rounded individual prepared to tackle the various aspects of a project lifecycle. Interns will have exposure to the Engineering Change Proposals process with detailed technical drawings and specifications. Interns will be supported by key engineering staff and work will be performed under the supervision of experienced and senior staff members.

Requirements:            

Must be a US CitizenMust pass a Security Pre-Screen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Anticipated Skill Set:

Good verbal and written communication skillsMust work well in both a team environment and independentlyMust have excellent computer skillsMajor field of study: mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, materials science, industrial engineering, or related disciplinesKnowledge of Microsoft OfficeA current Junior or Senior in good standingSome entry level experience and passion in mechanical design, structural and thermal analysis, 3D CAD design (Solidworks, Creo, or similar) is desired.
