Introduction

 

We are seeking an Engineering Intern for the Summer of 2025 to join our Brookfield team. You will be You will be integrated into our Crushing Spare Products Engineering team and immersed into Customer Projects & R&D. This position may include but is not limited to product maintenance, quality related tasks, supply chain inquiries, and machine documentation. In this position, you will report to Engineering Manager.

 

We work closely with Project Management, Procurement, Technical Support, Professional Services and Product Management to facilitate design, delivery and installation of equipment. Our team culture is all about meeting our customers demand while maintaining a healthy work life balance. The members in our team are in the USA, Finland, and Sweden.

 

 

What you’ll do

 

Perform related engineering calculations. Perform practical design work. Work in collaboration with the engineering team on special projects. Work closely with senior engineers and manager to provide technical problem-solving. Apply engineering knowledge, principles and best practices to meet customer requirements and specifications. Show a focus on quality, ethics, and a focus on meeting the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers. Observe safety regulations and exhibit a concern for safety Ability to understand and interpret PDF and drawing files Undertaking other tasks as may be assigned by the Engineering Manager or other management personnel.

 

Who you are

 

Currently enrolled and working towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Be a current Sophomore, Junior, or Senior. 3.0 GPA or higher Ability to manage engineering work in multiple projects. Experience in NX and Teamcenter is beneficial. Experience with hydraulics/electrical is beneficial. Theoretical and practical background in Mechanical Engineering design principles and machine design (structural, machining, gearboxes, piping, bolting, manufacturing, welding, casting, NDT methods, etc.). Experience or ability to work in a structured, team environment where meeting deadlines and handling various tasks simultaneously is necessary. Proficient communication and interaction skills are required. Experience using Microsoft office suite and the ability to learn new job-related programs required.
