Job Summary

This Engineering Intern position will support the engineering department in the administration of duties associated with the review, preparation and development of pipeline cost analysis/bid analysis, pipeline schematics, pipeline system review, and pipeline design assistance.

 

**This position is working 5 days a week onsite in the office in Archbald, PA.

Duties and Responsibilities Obtain pipeline construction experience by visiting project sites and assisting local engineers with associated tasks. This includes review of as-built drawings, review of service lines within a project area, assist with permitting. Develop project estimates with assistance from engineering staff Assist in development of the “Aldyl-A” data collection for the region. Develop mapping of affected areas.  In coordination with the engineer, assist in the development of documents for work order approval Complete all other work assignments and special projects as directed by the Principal Project Engineer/Manager Area Engineering.
  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Organization skills with strong attention to detail. Excellent skills in work process flow with associated internal administrative processes and procedures. Aptitude in learning the processes and procedures associated with design and construction of natural gas facilities.   Aptitude in learning new computer systems, such as Microsoft Office (Excel), DocuSign, and the Company Mainframe and SAP computer systems. Familiarity with office work flow procedures. Ability to build strong relationships and develop trust; collaborative, team-focused, and service-oriented. Strong communication skills; communicate effectively and persuasively, both verbally and in writing. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required Current student enrolled in Bachelor’s degree program in an engineering discipline.
