Engineering Intern

As an Electrical Engineering Intern in Engineering Services, you’ll provide solutions and services that help our customers protect and control critical electrical infrastructure and power systems worldwide.

 

As an Electrical Engineering Intern, a typical day might include the following:  

Providing technical support to SEL ES staff & customers

Developing and maintaining knowledge in SEL processes and technologies.

Performing testing on new and existing technology.

Learn power system protection through simulations and testing.

Documenting and communicating test results.

Following and applying SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

 

This job might be for you if: 

You are currently a student pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, with one to two years engineering education completed.

You have the ability to work part time during the school year and full time during the summer.

You have a strong understanding of electric circuit fundamentals, digital logic and AC power system.

You are proficient with Microsoft Windos Applications.

You have practical knowledge of protective relays & automation controllers.

You are able to work cooperatively in a team environment.

This position is located in Boise, ID, capital of the gem state, and on the Boise River in the southwestern part of the state.
