The incorporation of two interns is required (at least five hours a day), for their collaboration in tasks related to the development of Non-Destructive Testing techniques (Ultrasounds).

Due to the new requirements demanded of Nuclear Power Plants for License Renewal, Life Extension and Long-Term Operation (as well as for the construction of new reactors), it is necessary to verify the integrity of its main components and systems. In general, the objective of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods is the inspection of structures to verify the integrity of the components and locate and identify indications that may affect their correct operation.

The person who joins will be part of a team at a technical level. A profile required (preferably) physicist, chemist, engineer, or mathematician, with experience in the use of scientific software, studies related to wave propagation, knowledge of drawing tools (AutoCAD) and bilingual or at least the ability to write technical documents being recommended in English.

They will participate in projects to develop inspection techniques for new plants under construction such as Hinkley Point C (HPC), plants in operation such as those we have in Spain and new reactors and fusion facilities such as ITER or IFMIF-Dones.

Its main activity will be innovation and development of inspection techniques by Non-Destructive Testing for the inspection of metallic and composite materials.
