The Make Asset Management (MAM) team introduces and maintain assets in the site. As part of the MAM organization, the Engineering team designs, introduces/modifies installations, equipment and facilities. Due to the departure of one of our colleagues, we are looking for an enthusiastic Engineering Lead in an annual contract position, with renewal intention.

Function description:

MAM (MAKE Asset Management) is the organization where Innovation and Execution come together. In MAM Engineering, we deliver the systems which make the products. Core tasks of the MAM Engineering are project management, design, realization, qualification and modification of installations and equipment. Within MAM Engineering, the Engineering team is responsible for the technical scope of the project from feasibility to commissioning of installations and equipment working as part of a multidisciplinary project team.

In this role as Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for the management of the Engineering team, enabling the team to deliver the project portfolio and supporting operations.

Responsibilities Accountabilities:

The Engineering Lead plays a key role in the MAM Engineering management team for:

· Leading a team of engineer professionals, providing strategic direction, fostering development, and ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

· Ensuring the engineering resource management to meet the business requirements.

· Establishing, maintaining, and overseeing the engineering process for facilities, utilities, and equipment within pharmaceutical manufacturing and laboratory areas.

· Ensuring readiness of assets to be delivered on safety, quality, time and cost.

· Providing Leadership and direction to a team of engineers and SME’s to drive qualitative and balanced continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality, and project delivery.

· Being process owner for technical safety and technical compliance processes including FMEA, Machine Safety, HAZOP, etc.

· Identifying technical solutions, skills proficiencies to meet business needs.

· Training and guiding colleagues for engineering activities.

· Acting as an engineering expert during internal and external audits and inspections.

· Maintaining contacts with colleagues from other (large molecule) sites.

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial) required.

· Minimum 8 years of proven experience in the (bio)pharmaceutical industry or related academic experience or education is required.

· Prior experience in engineering roles required.

· Familiar with regulations (ICH, EMA, CFR) and industry standard (ISPE, PDA)

· Accurate, structured, flexible and customer focused;

· Proven ability to coach professionals and to embrace diversity, equity, inclusion.

· Good communication skills in English (both oral and written).
