Apple Services Engineering (ASE) is seeking a Software Engineering Manager in the Pricing - Subscriptions & Infrastructure team. As a vital part of the Apple ecosystem, you'll help drive the design and development of systems that support complex business, data, and infrastructure needs. We support content across Apple’s services—iCloud, App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV+, and more—facilitating billions of transactions globally. In this role, lead a small, highly skilled team with the opportunity to grow, taking ownership of critical projects that shape the future of Apple services. **Description**
The ASE Pricing team support millions of pieces of content across 150+ markets, powering key Apple features—iCloud, App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV+, iTunes, and more. As part of this global-reaching team, we shape how users access and enjoy Apple’s services worldwide! Lead and mentor a hard-working group of engineers to build, scale, and innovative pricing platforms and services. You’ll partner with key internal teams—including program managers, product managers, finance, and commerce—to deliver cutting-edge solutions that manage pricing and availability for Apple’s extensive catalog. Guide the team’s efforts in developing data models, APIs, user workflows, and infrastructure that support hundreds of millions of users globally. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lead the development of new and existing features, data models, services, APIs, and workflows for the pricing subscriptions platform. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful software solutions that scale globally. - Provide hands-on technical guidance, ensuring best practices in coding standards, automation, and continuous deployment across multiple code repositories. - Manage technical challenges in building highly scalable and secure systems exposed to millions of users. - Drive technical vision and set direction in ambiguous areas, and take ownership of critical projects.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ 7+ years of software engineering experience with expertise in Java, RESTful Services, relational databases, as well as NoSQL systems like Cassandra.
+ Strong object-oriented design and analysis skills, with experience working in large, complex codebases.
+ Hands-on experience building highly performant scalable services.
+ Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, with a commitment to automation and tooling throughout the software lifecycle.
+ Proven track record to enforce and contribute to team-wide best practices in coding standards, unit testing, and continuous deployment across multiple code repositories.
+ Strong problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to technical challenges and the ability to write clear, concise, and efficient code.
+ Demonstrated leadership in managing engineering projects from inception to delivery, with experience in technical & people leadership.
+ Experience mentoring, coaching, and evaluating engineers, fostering professional growth.
+ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and external partners.
+ Strong decision-making abilities, displaying good judgment, integrity, and ownership of deliverables, especially in ambiguous situations.
+ Ability to lead and engage with multiple teams or partner organizations simultaneously.
+ Thorough and able to independently drive projects forward with minimal guidance.

+ Experience partnering with Finance and other critical organizations driving Pricing decisions for a large catalog
+ Preferably 2-4 years of experience as a software engineering manager

+ At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,000 and $313,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
