On the Rider team, we are growing our team with people who want to enrich the lives of our community through technology. As the Engineering Manager for Rider Quality, you will help Lyft re-imagine what quality means in the age of AI. You will be responsible for building and leading a new team of talented engineers specialized in Test Automation and Machine Learning, alongside Quality Assurance engineers, to create robust tooling and tests to ensure a high-quality Lyft app.
Responsibilities: Set the technical vision and strategy for Rider Quality. Build and lead a new team of Test Automation and Machine Learning engineers, as well as QA engineers, that are collaborative, inclusive, and respectful. Collaborate with engineering leadership and cross-functional partners to understand needs and requirements. Coach and guide the professional and technical development of your team members. Work closely with the Lyft recruiting team to hire high-potential candidates from diverse backgrounds. Experience: B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, a related technical field, or relevant work experience. 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams, ideally with experience in Test Automation or Machine Learning. Passion for building scalable and extensible solutions that enable others and ensure a high-quality product. Experience launching and supporting consumer-facing products. Ability to thrive in a heavily cross-functional environment and drive projects to completion regardless of the organizational structure. This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Thursdays and a team-specific third day. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. #Hybrid
