Essential Responsibilities:

Provide technical and managerial leadership for a diverse teamInspire, hire, coach and ensure the development of the teams technical and leadership talent/depthPlan, organize and manage the delivery of technical activities/tasks in support of engineering deliverables which include system design specifications, plant design, plant layout drawings, commodity interference reports and modularization studiesWork collaboratively across teams to drive design to cost (DtC) to produce a cost-effective risk informed designProvide leadership supporting performance and program management of assigned work and ensure on-time fulfillment of engineering commitments in accordance with contract requirements, business procedures, industry standards and regulatory agency guidelinesEstablish and maintain strong working relationship with other internal engineering team managers, business leaders, project managers and stakeholdersInterface with external partners, customers, the NRC or other applicable country specific regulatory agency, as required on technical issuesProvide guidance and manage internal/external resources to ensure the quality of deliverables, enable flexibility and improved cost positionsInfluence the development of strategy for new nuclear plant designSupport commercial and marketing opportunities to develop new business opportunitiesProtect the Intellectual Property rights of the GESupport GE initiatives, process improvement and simplificationSupport GEH Nuclear Energy quality requirements, including participation in design reviews, initiating and responding to Corrective Actions.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related Science or technical disciplineMinimum 10 years of experience in technology or engineering roleMinimum 5 years of direct Civil/Structural Design experience in the nuclear industry or equivalent large-scale new build experience in the power industry
