Facilities Engineering ManagerJob Description:Role OverviewThe Facilities Engineering Manager will lead the planning, implementation, and management of building systems and infrastructure to ensure optimal facility operations. This role is responsible for overseeing engineering functions across facilities while ensuring compliance with safety standards, sustainability goals, and operational efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage the engineering operations and maintenance of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire & life safety, and building automation systemsDevelop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure reliable and efficient facility operationsLead a team of facilities engineers, technicians, and contractors, providing guidance, training, and professional developmentCreate and manage annual operating and capital budgets for engineering functionsEnsure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standardsDevelop and implement energy management strategies to improve efficiency and sustainabilityOversee facility improvement projects and equipment upgradesCollaborate with other departments to resolve technical issues and support business continuityEstablish and maintain documentation for all building systems, equipment, and maintenance proceduresRespond to emergency situations and implement effective solutionsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field7+ years of experience in facilities engineering with at least 3-5 years in a management roleStrong knowledge of building systems and operations (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)Experience with building management systems (BMS) and energy managementProven leadership skills with ability to manage diverse teamsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent project management and budgeting skillsKnowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and safety standardsProfessional certifications such as FMP, CFM, PE, or CEM preferredExperience with sustainability initiatives and green building practicesWhat We OfferLeadership role in a dynamic and growing organizationOpportunity to implement innovative facility solutionsProfessional development and industry networking opportunitiesCollaborative work environment with cross-functional exposureCompetitive compensation and benefits packageWould you like me to expand on any particular aspect of this job description or modify it to address specific requirements for your facility?
