Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic team of engineers and designers, both locally in Louisville and remotely out west. This role involves approximately 20% travel to customer locations to support work, projects, and assist with estimates. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience managing engineering teams, with a strong focus on mechanical design and engineering.
ResponsibilitiesManage and train a team of mechanical designers and engineers.Oversee engineering projects from concept through to completion.Implement best practices in design, documentation, and project management.Conduct drawing checks and ensure quality in all aspects of mechanical engineering and design.Support structural steel, Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor, rotating equipment, thermal analysis, and load calculation tasks.Essential Skills5+ years of engineering management experience.Strong background in mechanical engineering and design.Proficient in engineering management, supervision, and mechanical design principles.Experience with Solidworks and Autodesk Inventor.Ability to conduct thermal analysis and load calculations.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; a Master's degree is a plus.Strong CAD skills and mechanical background.Experience with load calculations is preferred.Work Environment
The position involves working within a team of 7 engineers, fostering an in-office culture that emphasizes support and collaboration. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with some flexibility on start times. The dress code is business casual. The company is privately held and values agility, offering a dynamic environment with significant growth potential. The engineering department is experiencing growth, with projects booked out through the first half of 2026, ensuring continued momentum and opportunities for further development.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
