Engineering Manager
Description The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a team of multi-disciplinary engineers who design and support the manufacture of custom electrical equipment in an assigned product group. This role ensures engineering excellence across product design, cost effectiveness, manufacturability, and compliance with industry standards. As a key counterpart to the Product Manager and Value Stream Manager, the Engineering Manager helps bring new and evolving products to market through close cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, operations, and commercial teams. Additional Skills & Qualifications ​​​​​​​Required Skills and Abilities Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field) 7+ years of engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role Strong project management skills and experience in a custom or engineered-to-order manufacturing environment Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing engineering teams Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and engineering documentation systems Additional Skills and Experience Experience with electrical equipment, such as switchgear, control panels, or power distribution products Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor), PLM systems, and Lean manufacturing principles Familiarity with UL, NEC, and other relevant codes and standards Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
