We are currently hiring an Engineering Manager for our Tempe, Arizona site. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of engineers and technicians focused on developing and sustaining microelectronics assembly technology and processes for use in implantable medical devices.

A Day in the Life
As Engineering Manager, you will lead a microelectronics released product engineering team who manages and improves the quality, reliability, and cost of microelectronic circuits used in implanted medical devices.  This team has product ownership for new product introduction, manufacturing, testing, change management, yield improvement, and field performance of a portfolio of implantable medical products built on a sapphire wafer scale technology platform. 

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Hire, lead, and manage a highly talented, diverse, world-class performance engineering team responsible for microelectronic circuit manufacturing and test Actively mentor, coach, and ensure career development plans are in place for direct reports Manage functional cost center budget and resource allocation. Identify and achieve aggressive yield improvements and product cost reductions Manage yield, change control, and field performance of released products Support new product introductions Partner with internal and external experts to maintain and strengthen technical expertise Understand and comply with company policies & procedures and external standards & guidance.  Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline. Minimum of 5 years experience in a Manufacturing or Operations environment or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years experience in a Manufacturing or Operations environment. 
Nice to Have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, or Material Science Medical device manufacturing experience Previous people management experience both development and performance management PMP certification or project management experience Working knowledge of ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems Requirements) Application experience with DOE, SPC, Gage R&R, DRM/DFSS Principles

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
