We are seeking a passionate Engineering Manager to lead our Software Engineering team.
This position requires an embedded software functional background and leadership skills with a balance between people and technical leadership.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:•Software Team management, including but not limited to: leading and managing a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentoring and fostering a collaborative work environment•Staying up to date with technology trends and engineering best practices, processes, standards, and work instructions•Supporting staffing of the group to meet business demands and objectives•Team members development by identifying opportunities for professional development and growth•Support and drive new product development projects planning and execution•Drive for robust architecture solutions•Support trouble shooting and root cause analysis for SW bug & fixing•Develop budget to support annual planning activities and manage approved budget within constraintsWHAT WILL YOU NEED:•Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related •Embedded SW development background required•Excellent people and time management, and leadership skills•Proven years of experience in the related industry (aerospace, automotive, power, medical)•Previous team management and leadership experience preferred•Ability to coach, mentor, and motivate individuals to perform beyond their comfort zone•Expert knowledge of the software life cycle and Agile framework•Refined communication and presentation skills•Excellent technical savvy and ability to reach consensus on technical direction•Experience in working within international environment•Fluent English and Polish language skills, written and spokenWoodward Aerospace Electronics department designs an extensive range of electronic and software solutions for aerospace and defense. Our ambition is to develop the next generation of airborne controllers, that will increase the contribution of electronics to aircraft and shape electric avionics approach.
