**Job Summary**
The Manager of Ethernet Product Development will be responsible for leading the technical engineering team focusing on our Comcast Business Ethernet line of products and services. The manager will lead a team of engineers spanning across network product certification, network solutions, network automation, sustained engineering, and production support.
**Job Description**
The Manager will work with our partners in the Business Unit as well as Service Assurance/Delivery to align the Metro-E portfolio to deliver new and existing product features and functionality from inception to production release. The Manager will use their technical background to help define technical scope, align product definitions with industry standards and provide comprehensive test and certification plans to support all business services. The Manager will also support new areas of business that will define the products of the future. Experience with supporting MEF (Metro-Ethernet Forum) based L2/L3 ethernet services is a plus to drive adherence to industry standards across the product set. The Manager will work with the larger E2E delivery team to help translate technical ethernet requirements into fully automated system workflows.
**Core Responsibilities**
+ Maintain our portfolio of Connectivity products ranging from Ethernet Products including EPL, EVPL, E-LAN, EDI, EaEPL, E-Tree, Wavelength services and Dark Fiber
+ Manage a team of Engineers focused on the Connectivity product portfolio
+ Develop and execute on comprehensive test and certification plans cover existing and new features
+ Develop network solutions that will help operationalize products and services into the Comcast ecosystem.
+ Play a key role scaling product experience by applying best practices on sustained engineering
+ Assess technical and operational feasibility and provide feedback to Product Managers
+ Work with internal engineering and product teams to align projects across the E2E workflow for system automation
+ Work with Service Delivery/Assurance to maintain Operational release documents, patches, updates
+ Maintain Security initiatives for the Ethernet program (hardware, software, OS and service)
+ Responsibility for CPE Hardware Certification as well as Operating Systems per Vendor
+ Support all areas of SLA measurements across the Comcast Network including OAM/CFM, RFC2544, y.1564
**Requirements**
+ Previous experience Managing Connectivity products, Ethernet Portfolio or line of business
+ Clear Leader, Good Communicator
+ Proficient in Ethernet and Network L2/L3 services
+ Operational Support and support customer facing escalations
+ Experience with large scale networks WAN, Metro-E, Wavelength services
+ Experience with LAN side networks including Routing protocols like BGP
