Caterpillar is on an exciting electrification transition and TPG is at the forefront of this journey. As the Engineering Test Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing testing and validation work for a variety of machines and equipment including off-highway trucks, hydraulic mining shovels, surface drills, underground mining shovels and electrical infrastructure equipment. **What you will do:** • Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs for engineering teams; motivating and developing project and team leaders. • Providing specialized engineering technical support and consulting services to various areas of the organization. • Managing high-impact, short and long-duration engineering initiatives, and projects; ensuring achievement of engineering test and validation plans and product quality. • Drive programs to completion on time and within budget. **Degree required:** Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum. **What skills you will have:** **Technical Excellence** : Strong technical competence and design knowledge of large mining and construction systems, equipment, and application methods; ability to develop and provide testing and validation solutions to technical challenges. Will effectively examine implications of events and issues. **Managing People** : Previous experience in managing people; ability to develop and lead successful teams, and address issues related to performance and conflicts at the workplace. Develops and fosters a high-performing team creating future leaders and technical stewards. Works collaboratively with people from diverse backgrounds. **Planning: Tactical, Strategic:** Previous experience in project management creation and execution; ability to develop, refine and communicate operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan. Ensures attention to the detail and dependencies of existing plans. Plans for allocation of resources in line with goals, technical and business objectives. **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach decisions based on data and informed judgment. Able to differentiate assumptions, perspectives, and historical frameworks to assess and validate decision options. **Effective Communications:** Communicates well within and between all levels of the organization. Effective at both oral and written communication including presenting in front of an audience. **Project Management:** Experience with effective project management strategies and governance; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of resources to achieve project objectives. Able to identify risks and vulnerabilities and creates contingency plans to address. **Additional Information:** This position requires the candidate **to work full-time at the Tucson Proving Ground, Green Valley, AZ.** This position may require 5 – 10 % travel. Relocation is available. Sponsorship is not available. **Summary Pay Range:** $144,960.00 - $217,320.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
