**Job Overview**
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager (Multi-Site) is responsible for **transforming** our Silicone and Industrial Rubber manufacturing operations with the vision, technology, and expertise they need through the entire production process. This includes taking an outside-in approach to match or better the capabilities of the best-in-class silicone manufacturers globally. This role will lead a team of talented engineers and technicians responsible for the entire production process, from customer's design requirements, new product introduction, manufacturing process sustaining engineering, lean & continuous improvement initiatives, through meeting customer production requirements at world-class levels.
**Responsibilities**
+ Promote safety through leadership in process safety analysis, ergonomic assessments, and process improvement activities.
+ Serve as the direct supervisor for the engineering team, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations. Lead and mentor engineering staff, fostering professional growth and holding a high standard of performance.
+ Serve as a leader within the site and drive Ingersoll Rand values through the site, including within but not limited to your core direct team.
+ Oversee the design, development, and manufacturing of medical devices from initial quoting and design for manufacturing through production launch and beyond.
+ Collaborate with the sales team to quote the cost to manufacture new devices as part of business development efforts. Review customer requirements and design specifications, ensuring the team provides design for manufacturing feedback to reduce production costs and complexity.
+ Lead and establish engagement in the engineering department, on new product introduction process in all IQ, OQ and PQ stages, including engineering support for mass production and control of all the engineering changes of the product during the entire product life cycle.
+ Leads the product engineering workflow that ensures the customer product requirements and specifications are fully understood and fulfilled and that the control of product engineering changes are fully documented and deployed on the production floor, and that the bill of material is fully validated as critical steps on the NPI process.
+ Leads the industrial engineering workflow that assures the completion of Process Flow, Time Studies, Capacity Analysis and Labor Content Determination, and determining the Standard Hours to complete the plant / company Quote Process.
+ Leads the Process Engineering Manufacturing Support performing as a minimum the following requirements: Leads Process Engineers that maintains lines running at standard, Error Proofing and Fixtures design, generate the PFMEA Documentation and Mitigation, Lead Improvements on Visual WI / Standard Work Instructions, Leads Cost Improvement Initiatives on Mass Production and establishes the RMA Root Case and Corrective Actions - supporting QA RMA Management
+ Design new machinery and upgrade existing equipment/tooling to improve production capabilities and operational efficiency.
+ Develop in-house Tooling Management capabilities and assess the business case for in-house tool-building. Vet and build relationships with external tooling vendors as preferred suppliers.
+ Design/Development of Automated Equipment
+ Lead large-scale engineering projects, overseeing task delegation to team members, managing project budgets, and implementing innovative technologies at the facility.
+ Work with the existing Project Management team members to improve and monitor launch processes that consistently deliver projects on predictable timelines
+ Champion and define continuous improvement projects throughout production, working closely with associates to enhance processes and efficiency.
+ Search on the production floor for process engineering projects and activities that reduce safety risks, improve product quality, enhance delivery capabilities, and support cost improvements.
+ Conceptualize and lead projects focused on reducing operational costs.
+ Analyze and refine manufacturing processes for both new and existing products to meet optimal cost and quality benchmarks, including responsibilities in process engineering, industrial engineering, tooling procurement, waste reduction, and troubleshooting.
+ Ownership of operation engineering plan to improve production processes, upgrades in equipment/layout changes to optimize production flow and efficiency, expanded capacity to support growth, and product quality improvements to achieve production of safe, effective, and compliant Flexan Quality and Operational Standards.
+ Spearhead the implementation and ongoing refinement of lean manufacturing principles, systematically identifying and eliminating waste.
+ Use lean, process technology, and automation to continuously improve the manufacturing environments driving cost leadership, world class quality and customer satisfaction.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ This position is open to US persons only. As defined by the U.S. government, a US person includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (green card holders), and certain individuals granted status under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants must meet these criteria to be eligible for consideration
+ Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field
+ Minimum 8 years related engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
+ Minimum 5 years management experience
+ Experience in Silicone and/or Rubber Molding / Mold Design
+ Experience in Automation Design and / or Implementation
+ Demonstrated ability to manage projects, including silicone and /or rubber injection molding process and equipment and mechanical design
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Thorough knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA Quality System requirements. Strong understanding of product qualification and validation processes
+ Knowledge of financial, sales and marketing as related to development and manufacturing
+ Silicone / Rubber Extrusion process experience
**Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements**
+ Fully site based, between our Lincolnshire IL and Chicago, IL office. Up to 20% travel.

The pay range for this role is $107,000-$160,000, excluding incentive opportunities. The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location. Hired applicant will be eligible to receive (discretionary/nondiscretionary) annual bonuses and incentive compensation.
