The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Manager, responsible for managing the Engineering Discipline, ensuring high-quality technical documentation and alignment with project goals. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement within the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities Resource Management: Lead planning and mobilization of engineering resources to meet project demands. Engineering Deliverables: Oversee the creation of technical documents and ensure adherence to quality, budget, and schedule. Collaboration: Coordinate with Lead Engineers, Project Managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure project success. Risk & Issue Management: Identify and manage technical risks and challenges. Feasibility Studies: Lead feasibility studies and assess project viability. Project Leadership: Manage both brownfield and greenfield projects with tailored engineering solutions. Business Development: Proposal Support: Provide technical inputs and estimates for bids. Client Relationships: Build strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities. Marketing & Cross-Selling: Promote the company’s expertise and cross-sell services across sectors. Leadership & Team Development: Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and promote skill development. Collaboration & Culture: Foster a positive team culture and collaborate across teams to meet project goals. Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation and best practices in engineering. Performance Metrics: Deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget. Ensure client satisfaction and repeat business. Optimize team utilization and performance. Health & Safety: Ensure adherence to HSSE policies and promote a safety-first culture. What you'll need to succeed Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Strong leadership and project management experience. Proven ability to manage resources, budgets, and schedules. Excellent communication and coordination skills. A minimum of 10 years of experience within the mining industry (EPCM). Experience managing a team of 15+ May consider a very strong principal mechanical engineer who's ready for that step up!
