About the role:As a Engineering Manager you will lead the manufacturing engineering team functions to support the operations of the Newington Manufacturing Facility. Develop manufacturing methods and processes for fabrication of all Newington manufactured components. Lead all manufacturing engineering efforts, standard process execution and lead the work through the stages of the manufacturing process. Promote and ensure professional and technical development of staff to include excellence in process control, work standards, EHS and quality.
You will report to the Plant Director and be located in Newington NH. You will be 100% onsite with possible travel requirements (less than 10%) and will have a team of 15-20 manufacturing engineering direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and create engineering processes/manufacturing requirements to ensure reliable component fabrication and assembly meeting goals for safety, quality, cost and production according to the production schedule
Determine priorities with the Operations Manager/Component Delivery Manager, and manage your team to implement cost-reduction, quality and safety improvement; maintain detailed documentation
Lead engineers to develop and implement manufacturing processes for all production operations at the plant.
Assign and manage departmental personnel to specific component or customer ownership. Responsibilities include technical process, fixturing and tooling, process flow, raw material procurement, outside vendor support and follow
Ensure development of procedures needed to deliver product/components
Develop and maintains department standard operating procedures, training, manuals, and drawing standards
Focus on engineer group professional development and cross training to build organizational depth and ability to flex and use engineering resources
Coach, mentor and develop your manufacturing engineering team to ensure the highest quality output of manufacturing processes
Strengthen highest standards of execution and leadership both within your direct team but also directly on the manufacturing shop floor
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field
10 plus years of experience in manufacturing environment
