Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading, organizing and coordinating all engineering activities involved in one or more electrical/electronic projects from concept to production with supervisory guidance. This position may report to a Chief Engineer, Senior Manager, or Director. Reporting to this position may be Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Technicians, or Technical Leads.
Project Planning, Supervision and Technical Review - Create project workflows, man-hour estimates, material and activities needed to complete electrical/electronic projects. Oversee the development of project definitions, specifications and guidelines. Ensure solution meets the objectives. Lead and manage assigned resources to ensure project timeliness and appropriate direction. Delegate workload to assigned personnel involved with project. Establish scope and work priority. Answer questions, give direction and monitor project activities to ensure deadline requirements are met. Monitor and ensure that integrity of design is maintained through the use of sound engineering practice, conformance to product goals, specifications, and Company and industry standards. Propose and implement tools and other improvements to the product development process. Resolve engineering design issues. Product and Technology Champion - Champion and lead the development of new electrical/electronic products. Lead the team through product analysis, product design and development, and product testing in developing highly competitive products. Build product knowledge for the assigned truck model(s) or product. Study competitive products and new emerging technologies, making recommendations for how to upgrade, improve and evolve both product and process. Work directly with customers, sales teams, and development teams to ensure product meets customer requirements. Study customer applications and propose innovative products and features that improve customer processes. Identify customer and vehicle application issues and propose solutions to improve those issues. Conduct product reviews to ensure that a competitive and innovative product is released for production Leadership and Communication - Regularly communicate electrical/electronic project status to supervisor, management and other departments. Communicate project objectives, expectations and company related information to the project team. Monitor staff quality of work, productivity and review with supervisors. Provide leadership while collaborating with other department managers to coordinate efforts and schedule for the development of components and other deliverables necessary to complete project. Perform other tasks as assigned. Employee Development - Perform duties such as creating/revising job descriptions, conducting talent development discussion sessions, rating performance, establishing/tracking goals. Responsible for coaching, motivating, mentoring, and developing direct reports to successfully take on additional responsibilities.

Onsite Work: A reasonable commute is necessary since mostly onsite work is required. Crown offers limited hybrid remote work for this position.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field 5 years of electrical engineering experience in product development environment Project management and supervisory skills Good written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to occasionally travel with overnight stays (0-5%) Reliable transportation to travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday
Preferred Qualifications:
A working knowledge of electrical and electronics as it relates to lift truck design, industrial design and ergonomics are preferred. Experience with off-road vehicle design Familiarity with Hardware design tools including schematic capture and layout (vehicle electrical and/or PCBA) Electrical tools including meters, analyzers, and oscilloscopes Communication network tools such as CAN, RS422, Ethernet analyzers Signal lntegrity Functional safety and risk analysis
