**About the Role**
As an Engineering Manager, you will be helping drive our fast-growing UberEats Offers Engineering org! You will lead a dedicated group of engineers in building a best-in-class features that powers billions of dollars worth of discounts on UberEats. You will play a pivotal role in crafting the future of our product and tech, which is essential to the growth of the UberEats business.

Team Building:

Engineering Leadership:
- Promote the culture of continuous improvement, emphasizing code reviews, design reviews, and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Oversee the engineering direction and build a strong roadmap towards the northstar
Multi-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and operations to develop a vision and roadmap for the team
- Collaborate with data scientists and other engineering teams to understand requirements and integrate different ad products into the data and reporting platform
Operational Excellence:
- Implement thorough OE practices to ensure trust. Robust mechanisms to detect issues and recover from failures
**Basic Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering field (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology etc.)
- Minimum 5 years experience as a software engineer and 2+ years full time management experience
- Deep understanding of full-stack software development with experience leading both backend and front-end engineers.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience in leading teams to build scalable mission-critical systems meeting the demands of rapid growth and substantial transaction volume
- Experience leading engineering projects from planning through review stages
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to encourage and empower a diverse team.
- Hands on expertise in career development, mentorship, performance expectations, and conflict resolution
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$218,000 per year - USD$242,000 per year.
