Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Environmental & Facility Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Project Engineer.

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage construction projects (expansions, renovations, greenfield, etc.) across our North American facilities.

The person in this role will support the Environmental & Facility Engineering department's objective to provide project management, construction, and building design to ensure projects are designed and built to quality, cost, schedule and safety KPIs for North American manufacturing facilities.

What you’ll be doing

Develop criteria (mechanical, electrical, fire protection, civil/structural, etc.) for design of buildings.

Provide technical support to North American Manufacturing plants in the areas of building design and construction, including development and maintaining of building related standards.

Act as Subject Matter Expert for industrial buildings and building related systems as technical support for local facility groups at each site, as well as for submittals during project management.

Provide experience in plant planning project management, construction, and building design to ensure projects are designed and built to quality, cost, schedule and safety KPIs.

Mentor engineers, construction coordinators, and other project personnel to increase their skillset in industrial construction.

Create Customer Satisfaction with proper communication and consensus with customer to support their needs.

What you bring

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering

Management experience with responsibility for direct reports

Experience in industrial building design and construction

Experience in project management of industrial and/or office construction projects with value of $10M or higher

AutoCAD experience including the ability to read, interpret and modify drawings

Experience in one or more of the following:

Mechanical systems (piping, chilled water, compressed air, etc.)

Power systems (switchgear, power distribution systems, 480VAC and higher)

Structural steel systems

Civil Systems (roads, foundations, earthwork)

Ability to travel 50%-75% at peak times

Added bonus if you have

Experience in Automotive Industrial construction

Professional Engineering (PE) License or Registered Architect (RA)

OSHA 30 certified
