We are looking for an Engineering Manager (Local) to provide overall technical oversight for the Air Products Facilities in Karshi. You will ensure that all technical issues and improvement opportunities in support of the facility are prioritized, co-ordinated, and directed to a successful outcome -- across all the engineering disciplines that support the site including

On-site engineering e.g. machinery, process, controls, electrical, pressure systems, projects etc.Off-site centralized engineering support e.g. Operational Excellence Team, Chief Engineers Office, High Temp Safety Committee etc.Off-site Technology support team. (Hersham/Allentown)External engineering resources and / or specialized consultants e.g. Critical equipment vendor representatives, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), Haldor Topsoe, Foster Wheeler, Cryogenmash etc

As the Engineering Manager (Local), you will

Work with the team of 14 engineers, covering machinery, electrical, process, controls and pressure systems. #LI-OnsiteEnsure coordination of the following key areas.Prioritization of technical efforts and resource coordinationEnsuring effective Change ManagementAsset ManagementPlant Testing Coordination with Off-site resources (Air Products' Chief Engineers Office, Industrial Gases Technical Engineering, original equipment manufacturers and other specialist vendors). Performance metrics and process monitoring (Efficiency, Reliability, Maintenance, Cost, Project Management, EH&S Compliance, Regulatory Compliance, Training).Best Practice Coordinator (use of the HYCO Best Practice applications, where applicable to ensure a common outlook between these assets and similar Air Products' global assets).  Troubleshooting

As the Engineering Manager (Local), you already are and/or have

Engineering Degree (Chemical or Mechanical)Demonstrated experience in a similar role leading cross-functional technical / engineering teams, and ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization.A good technical understanding in each of the engineering disciplines so that you can make active contribution to guiding and coordinating these functions.Knowledge of business and management principles involved in the strategic planning, resource allocation and leadership practices.Working knowledge of the HYCO/ATR technology (with Haldor Topsoe) would be beneficial.Minimum of 15 years in chemical, steel making, petrochemical industry preferably.
