About the Role:  

The Platform team builds innovative tech at scale. Our engineers build the IoT backbone that handles real time, 2-way communication with hundreds of thousands of devices. We build the platform that powers the Smart Load Board, which connects our customers to the most relevant loads from the world’s largest freight brokers.  We build the cloud infrastructure on which all of KT’s backend is built. We keep the whole system reliable and performant. As an Engineering Manager on the Platform team, you will play an active role building the fundamental tech that keeps roads safer while driving value for our customers. You’ll work with Golang, Bazel, Kubernetes, Ruby on Rails, Kafka, AWS, ML, and more. Learn, build, and innovate with the Platform team at KeepTruckin.

What You'll Do:  Connect the world’s trucks by building secure, scalable, distributed services Partner with product and engineering teams to build new, high-impact end-to-end features Enable teams to build features at scale by providing a foundation of reusable software components and infrastructure Improve the performance and reliability of existing systems Contribute to the design and architecture of new software services and cloud infrastructure Lead the design and architecture of new software services and cloud infrastructure Build systems and infrastructure to support a wide range of hardware, software, and embedded systems teams, including IoT, ML, Hardware, Embedded Software, Mobile, Web, and Backend Build basic foundational architecture, frameworks, best practices and tools to improve engineering velocity and to empower engineers to ship high-quality experiences  What We're Looking For:   We are looking for a manager who either 1) has data platform / ML platform experience and has managed before, including infrastructure, operations, site reliability engineering, and database administration; or 2) who have managed platform teams (who built systems that other teams have used, or managed critical internal services (e.g. authentication, user profile servers, notification services, etc.)  Such leads may have helped teams scale their systems or built abstractions and libraries for other teams to use. B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field 3+  years of management experience managing  data platform, architecture, or infrastructure teams 5+ years experience as an engineer/architect building out platform services & highly operational workflows Scaled team and infrastructure from small to large organization Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as: Ruby (Rails), Golang, Java, Python, C/C++, JavaScript/Node.js Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, and Cassandra
