The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Manager to lead our Nutanix Disaster Recovery Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our disaster recovery solutions built on Nutanix technologies. In this role, you will not only oversee managing a dedicated QA team but also own and drive end to end feature qualifications.
About the Team
At Nutanix, you will be joining the Disaster Recovery and Backup team, a dynamic and dedicated group comprising over 30 members across more than 50 locations. You will report to the Senior Manager of the team, who is committed to guiding and supporting you as you navigate your role. Our work setup is hybrid, encouraging a balanced approach to in-office and remote work, with the expectation of coming into the office three days a week. This flexibility allows for collaboration with team members while also providing the autonomy to work from a location that suits your needs. Additionally, there are no travel requirements for this position, enabling you to focus entirely on your responsibilities and personal development within the role.
Your Role
Hire, mentor, and manage a high-performing QA team. Encourage learning and skill developments within the team.Strong leader capable of motivating the very best software engineers.Continuously refine processes and best practices to enable the smooth functioning of the team.Drive overall quality of timely software releases.Lead and drive quality of features owned by the team.Conducting requirement and design review of new features.Design high level test approaches and implement detailed test plans.Debug and root cause complex product issues.Continuous improvement in efficiency of test cases and test strategies.Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks.Own feature's overall health.What You Will Bring
A BE or MS in Computer Science or related stream is required.Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant industry experience.Proven experience in a QA leader role preferably in Storage / Backup and Disaster Recovery areas.Experience in leading technical QA teams for features in distributed systems.Experience in designing complex Test Plans and Automation Plans.Good exposure to Automation development in Python.Ability to debug complex issues and root cause failures.Experience with Core Storage, Virtualisation, File Systems, Block/Object Storage, Disaster Recovery & Backup is desired.Good understanding of Linux Systems and virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM.Excellent collaboration and communication skills with development, product management and cross functional teams.Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
