We are seeking an Engineering Manager to support our Quality, Warranty, Verification & Validation organization. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, this individual will lead a small team of experienced engineers, ensuring they are productive, well-trained, and ready to tackle different challenges. The Engineering Manager will play a key role in driving process improvements, early defect detection, and engineering efficiency, while maintaining a strong focus on team development and technical excellence.
You'll have...
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related or foreign equivalency degree or combination of education and experience
• 10-15 years of engineering experience in the automotive industry, with a background in systems or software engineering.
• Experience leading small teams of engineers, ensuring they are productive, engaged, and continuously developing.
• Strong expertise in either systems engineering or software engineering, with a focus on verification and validation.
• Knowledge of early defect detection and prevention methodologies to improve product quality and reliability.
• Experience in ISO 26262 Functional Safety and ASPICE compliance.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor engineers and collaborate across teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to leadership.
• Experience with infotainment, connected gateways, or telematics is a plus.

• Experience working with third-party software suppliers to ensure quality and compliance.
• Familiarity with DevOps, continuous integration, and automated testing.
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and open-source software compliance.

What you'll do...
• Ensure the productivity, development, and readiness of the engineering team to take on various challenges.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and training to support the technical growth of team members.
• Drive early defect detection and prevention strategies to improve software and system quality.
• Support design reviews, quality reviews, and engineering joint reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.
• Lead process improvement initiatives that enhance engineering efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve verification and validation strategies for complex automotive software and systems.
• Support Failure Mode Analysis (FMA) and risk mitigation strategies for both software and systems engineering.
• Partner with suppliers and internal teams to ensure adherence to quality, warranty, and compliance processes.
• Align with the Chief Engineer to execute strategic initiatives and organizational goals.
• Effectively communicate team progress, challenges, and technical insights to senior leadership.
