Engineering/Plan and Price Reviewer

Engineering/Cabinetry Design Price & Plan Review

Closets By Design is a nationally recognized leader in the home organizing industry. We design, manufacture, and install a complete line of custom cabinetry.

We are currently seeking a highly detail oriented individual with an understanding of custom cabinet plans and designs and a solid background in mathematics, engineering or architecture and computers.

Job Responsibilities:

Before cut listing and manufacturing can begin, all designs need to be reviewed to confirm accuracy of pricing and of each individual component and identify all special orders pertinent to the job.

During this "plan review" process, adjustments to the design may need to be made and/or additional information may need to be gathered.

The Price Check and Plan Review Assistant will review plans, identify special orders and be responsible for preparing designs for the cut listing process. Once designs have been reviewed and verified for accuracy, cut listing can begin. The purpose of this process is to allow the Cut Lister to start and finish a job with minimal distractions/interruptions and improve the output and accuracy required.

Example of Design Price and Plan Review process:

I. Design Review:

Review the design by each component, upgrade and accessory to ensure correct pricing. Update National Price with corrected price as need be. Inform Production and Sales Managers

the room as designed.

• Verify all panel and cabinet heights will work within the ceiling height of

the room.

• Verify all drawers, hampers, and specialty hardware, to ensure they will

work with the design.

• Verify all obstacles are noted on the design.

• Review entire design /contract and notate any/all questions.

c. Modify and/or obtain additional information about the design may be necessary.

Adjustments to design will vary from dimensional changes, hardware type, and any modifications that may be required to ensure the final product is produced and installed successfully. Modifications may include:

Adjusting panel height or cabinet sizes, as needed Adjusting section width as needed Adjusting/adding Cut-To-Fit sections or fillers, as needed Any change/modification to a design, other than minor dimensional adjustments requiring customer approval may need to be reviewed and approved by personnel assigned by management (not the Plan Review Supervisor).
