About You
You will be a qualified engineering professional with relevant background and experience in managing applicable engineering function or technical delivery. You will bring your exceptional knowledge of engineering process and toolsets (e.g. PLM or MRP systems, design, simulation and analysis software) and passion for delivery projects and business change.
About the Role
You will collaborate with the Engineering Discipline Leads within Babcock Australasia to manage the strategic and tactical development of the engineering processes and systems in line with the current and future demands of the business. You will find common ways of working and improve business efficiencies to developing and implementing a regional engineering process and systems (tools) strategy and produce artifacts.
In collaboration with the Head of Engineering Capability, you will provide advice to the region around the suite of tools and managing these processes, interfacing with the Group Engineering Function to ensure consistency of approach and reporting engineering capability activities across the Global Business.
This role is flexible on location and can be based at any Babcock location in Australia or New Zealand.
To be successful, you will have:
Active Defence Security Clearance (or Australian citizenship with ability to obtain / maintain Clearance) Accredited (under the Washington Accord) bachelors degree in engineering or hold the recognised engineering qualifications to be eligible to obtain Professional Engineer category membership through a recognised body Previous experience in an engineering management/ technical role Exposure to managing an applicable engineering function and/ or technical delivery Understanding of applicable engineering systems, processes and toolsets
