The Engineering Project Intern will be responsible for providing support to the engineering leadership teams, assisting in closing out follow-up actions for different engineering meetings and work in our collaboration tools and assisting in developing ways to streamline the way teams work.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

Develop conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.Resolves issues using established procedures.Receive training, mentorship, and coaching from experienced leaders managers.Grow your technical expertise in your chosen field and expand your skills in new areas.Experience technically challenging assignments in the power generation industryCollaborate with the team and others in the organizations to solve issuesPlan, organize and coordinate technical activities/tasks in support of engineering deliverablesProtect the Intellectual Property rights of GEVSupport GEV initiatives, process improvement and simplificationSupport GEV Nuclear Energy quality requirements. Ensure adherence to GEV’s standards for nuclear safety and compliance

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility requirements:

This role requires basic experience in the Project Management & Document Management.Must be enrolled in a full-time Post secondary institution in the Power Engineering, Project Management  or similar disciplineMust maintain a good standing cumulative GPADemonstrate proficiency in using computer applications. Experience in word processing, presentation packages, databases, and spreadsheet packages.  Proficient with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with Adobe software to be able to create/modify PDF files.Must be 18 years of age or older.Must have reliable transportation.Must be willing to relocate and work in Markham, ON.Must be available for a 12-month co-op program starting spring 2025
