Your Opportunity as an Engineering Receiver
Responsible for unloading all inbound material and supplies. To store inventory and requisition ingredients, packaging and miscellaneous supplies. Support the production of high-quality products manufactured as safe and legal to consistent standards with continual focus on quality improvement.
Location: 2035 N Narragansett Ave, Chicago, IL 60639 (Hostess Manufacturing Plant)
Work Arrangements: 100% on-site, 2nd Shift: Sunday-Thursday 3pm-11pm *must be flexible, overtime may be required on weekends as well
Compensation Base Rate: $23 - $24.69/hr., with a $0.35 cent shift differential for hours worked between (5pm-5am)

In this Role You Will:
Unload all inbound materials and supplies.
Store inventory and requisition ingredients, packages and miscellaneous supplies.
Sweep and clean work area.
Segregate and resolve contamination issues.
Sign off on and enter all parts, equipment, ingredients, packages, and supplies into computer.
Communicate with all departments of plant.
May load all non-products that shipping department does not handle.
Dispatch for outside carriers.

Required:
High School Diploma or GED
Skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
Reasoning Skills - Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in or from standardized situations.
Previous work experience in a manufacturing warehouse is preferred.
Previous safety training preferred
High school diploma or GED preferred
Forklift experience preferred
Basic mathematical skills – know how to add, subtract, multiply and divide
Tools and Equipment: Forklift, pallet jacks, pan carts, two-wheeler, barrels, dollies, pallets, bump hat, hair net and earplugs.
Work Environment
This job operates in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment and manufacturing sites can be loud.
Physical Demands
Ability to sit (5%), stand (10 %), walk (30%), kneel/squat (20%) and bend (30%) for 8 hours. Ability to lift approximately up to a maximum of 100 pounds, approximately 30 time per day from floor to chest. Ability to reach from floor level, approximately 20 times per day and up to 6 feet, 15 times per day. May climb stairs and ladder, 2-3 times per day. Performs repetitive motions, using the hands/arms approximately 100 times per day. Also, uses the back (twisting) throughout the day. Ability to push / pull whole and upper body throughout the day. Must be in good physical condition.
