TRS is looking for an Engineering Records Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing operations documents for capital projects and handling engineering records in a refinery, chemical plant, or similar industrial environment. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of facility engineering records, including documents, drawings, and equipment files.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage operations documentation for capital projects. Maintain and organize engineering records, ensuring they are accurate and easily accessible. Utilize Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) such as SmartPlant Foundation, Meridian, or other similar systems. Ensure adherence to industry standards and company policies regarding document control and records management. Work closely with engineering and operations teams to support project documentation requirements. Provide training and support to staff on document control procedures and systems.Requirements:
At least 5 years of relevant industry experience. Hands-on experience with operations document control and engineering records management in a refinery, chemical plant, or similar setting. In-depth knowledge of facility engineering records, including documents, drawings, and equipment files. Proficiency with EDMS systems (e.g., SmartPlant Foundation, Meridian, or other document management systems). Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and web-based applications. Based in the Port Arthur, TX area or willing to relocate there. Basic understanding of equipment tagging and asset management.Preferred Qualifications:
Technical background. Experience with SharePoint and PowerBI reports. Experience with SAP. Experience with Management of Change (MOC) systems.
