As an Engineering Rotational Program Associate -Emerging Talent you are responsible for providing technical expertise and support for various departments of the organization.
How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:
The two-year program consists of a series of rotations designed to explore different engineering functions and aspects of the paper and packaging industry Rotations are selected based on business need and can be anywhere within the United States This role as a Process, Production, Reliability, Process Controls or Project engineer has multiple responsibilities including continually exploring opportunities to optimize production, improve quality, and reduce cost in our operations. The Engineering Rotational Associate may also support projects in Global Paper, Sustainability, Corporate Functions and/or special assignments
What you need to succeed:
Education:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Pulp Paper, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or related Engineering
Experience:
Required: Prior experience in Operations, Paper Manufacturing, or a related field
Technical Skills:
Microsoft Office – Excel, Outlook
Working knowledge of maintenance techniques and equipment (i.e. pumps, valves, motors, gear boxes)
