Our Technology Center is home to a team of globally recognized engineers and scientists who provide innovative mining, processing and environmental solutions to our operations throughout the world. Our employees make use of state-of-the-art laboratories and test facilities, including a fully automated analytical lab – the first of its kind in the Americas. What You Will Do Acquire knowledge of and recognize engineering principles related to site-wide water systems including hydrology, hydraulics, hydrogeology, water treatment plant processes, and general water quality for the purposes of quantifying water fluxes across process, mine, tailings, crushed leach, and stormwater areas.  Perform analysis/modeling/engineering projects related to water management practices and special investigative projects. Follow leadership directives and provide technical support to site water teams on related activities and projects at mine sites.  Support the development, maintenance, and implementation of strategic plans to enhance mining operations’ water management activities.  Communicate accurate, timely and relevant water management information to operational management team and staff.  Perform other duties as required.   What You Bring To Freeport High School Diploma or GED and (4) four years of Engineering experience, OR  Bachelor’s Degree in scientific discipline from an accredited curriculum  Knowledge of principles of surface and subsurface hydrology, and numerical modeling  Proficient in MS Excel and Word, with knowledge of other MS Office software  Fluency in English  Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to a diversely educated audience.  Present a positive, professional image.  Self-motivated, energetic, able to execute, and client-service oriented.  Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety of yourself and others.  Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in Science or Engineering with Hydrologic, Hydraulic, Geotechnical or Geological specialization.  Experience with metal mining design and/or operations, especially with tailings storage facilities (dams), water dams and/or crushed leach stockpiles  Education/experience with water management, process design or water/wastewater treatment.  Able to research and analyze information and draw valid conclusions.  Good interpersonal as well as written and oral communication skills with diverse teams of technical and non-technical staff  Be able to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure.  Experience with related engineering software (AutoCAD), programming languages, GoldSim, ArcGIS. 

What We Offer You  

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $76,000-$104,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.    What We Require
