You will apply engineering principles & analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products.

You'll have... 

High School Diploma or GED1 or more years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment (internship and coop experience will be considered)

Bachelors Degree, Mechanical or Automation EngineeringEffective oral and written communication skills2 or more years with high volume aluminum CNC machining or equivalent manufacturing experienceExperience with CNC control systems, G-code, offset tablesExperience with automated gauging systems including variable air and electronic gauges, CMMs, and surface finishExperience with statistical process control analysis software including Q-DAS and MinitabExperience with process monitoring tools including vibration monitoringLean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience4D, 8D and 5Why corrective action and problem-solving skillsSolid understanding of Lean Tools – 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream MappingKnowledge of TQM and Kaizen MethodsDCP, FMEA, PPAP, and DOEs experienceValidated experience with Visual Factory ManagementSuccessful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skillsDemonstrated ability to read part prints, blueprints, modify drawings and use AutoCADValidated ability to troubleshoot equipment and continuously evaluate for process improvementsOne or more years of experience with MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)

What you'll do...

Support Manufacturing Process Engineering activity for Machining ProcessesDrive continuous improvement in safety, quality and productivity Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to identify throughput constraints and continuously improve manufacturing processesSupport troubleshooting activities on CNC, gantry and conveyor system down time issues with maintenance and the production teamInvestigate and reduce machining scrapInvestigate and drive tool life improvementsDevelop action plans as required to investigate and prioritize quality concerns and verify corrective actionsLead and conduct process audits to ensure process discipline is consistent with procedures Create process and instruction sheets supporting quality methods and processesEnsure compliance to Plant, Corporate, Governmental and Environmental standardsWork flexible shifts, overtime and weekends as neededUse FIS plant monitoring software to review cycle times and downtime of equipment, review and follow up on issues for machine performance
