Engineering Specialist - Process (Machining)
**Minimum Requirements:** Education: High School Diploma Experience: Ability to work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends Ability to work independently with limited supervision Capable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms safety, quality, and throughput Strong organizational and administrative skills Ability to multi-task Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in One FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills **Position Duties:** Coordinates all Process Engineering Specialists in the producion area Support of daily production meetings working closely with production team to drive all engineering actions across the machining/assembly line to improve JPH and FTT Ensure changes are properly captured using MTC or APQP processes as appropriate Ensures line production process is maintained to meet required quality and productivity targets and keep documentation using 6-Sigma tools Ensures a propoer response to operations concerns, and lead the use of team based problem solving tools Coordinates the planning and preparation of engineering projects Ensures Machinery Specifications used by engineers are the appropriate as per the standards. Ensures the quality of the CIB projects in the area of responsibility Lead Maintenance Operating System (MOS) actions and team Lead JPH Roadmap process in the production area. Coordinate FPS activities with the department Participate in CPMT meetings, representing the plant in multidisciplinary team work Participate in Employee Suggestion Scheme evaluating suggestions related to his/her production line Provide process-related training to production team Work with WERS, CORA, CAD and other required systems when needed. Coordinate incoming and outgoing information to the Machining/Assembly Area - Transmittals - Feasibility Studies - Releases - Projects and Investment - Manage the Change - Continuous Improvement - FPS - Development of new engineers Lead and coordinate different departments to achieve objectives Stand in for Team Manager whenever necessary Participate in interplant benchmarking exercises Drive DCP and capability studies/Control Plans Liaise with Forward Planning and Manufacturing Engineering to co-ordinate changes affecting machining simultaneous engineering Liaise with Product Team, MEO, Production Team and suppliers to develop optimum processes, such as gauging torque strategies, in process testing and hot/cold engine testing Manage the development of processes through engineering and build to support Prototype programme delivery schedules **Preferred Requirements:** Education: Bachelor’s Degree Experience: Body shop/stamping/paint/subassembly experience preferred Safety and Quality experience preferred Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles Knowledge of constraint management principles Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook) Prior experience managing a unionized work force **Requisition ID** : 40680
