The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing a team of engineers to ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. This role involves overseeing engineering projects, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and optimizing production systems to meet organizational goals.
Role Responsibilities:
Supervise and provide direction to engineering staff, ensuring alignment with company objectives.Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.Oversee engineering projects, including planning, resource allocation, and timeline management.Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards in all engineering activities.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and support production goals.Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement initiatives.Provide technical guidance and training to the engineering team to foster professional growth.Travel: Up to 10%
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field preferred).Proven 5-year experience in a manufacturing environment.Proven 3-year experience with supervisory responsibilities.Strong knowledge of process optimization, equipment maintenance, and project management.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Strong knowledge Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.Experience with MS project, Advanced Excel, Power BI)Experience with root cause analysis (RCA) and other problem-solving tools like FMEA or 8D.Communication skills and ability to influence others.Knowledge of IATF and ISO14001 regulatory compliance requirements.Demonstrated ability to manage capital projects, including budgeting and resource allocation.Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), or similar methodologies.Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in a manufacturing or industrial setting.Strong knowledge of automation systems, such as PLCs, robotics, and SCADA systems.Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like Oracle.Experience with root cause analysis (RCA) and other problem-solving tools like FMEA or 8D.Certification as a Lead Auditor for IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 regulatory compliance standardsEmployment opportunities for positions in the United States may require use of information which is subject to the export control regulations of the United States.
