Engineering Team Lead - Terminal Transport
Who are we?

The team is responsible for routing, load balancing, and execution of server-side Javascript/Typescript cloud workers and the Platform as a Service that hosts them. 

We own the core backend services, protocols, and clusters that are essential to the functioning of the Bloomberg Terminal. Every interaction with the Terminal runs through our servers which results in our software stack processing over 250 billion messages per day. At peak, we support over 5 million concurrent application executions. Our software runs the framework backends, and enables other teams to build applications on the Bloomberg Terminal.

We’ll trust you to

Lead and grow the team of talented engineers

Collaborate across multiple teams, work with a variety of technologies and learn new skills as needed

Work side by side with the sibling SRE team on the operational environment and enhance its reliability

Stay up to date with industry trends and implement best practices within the team and its code-bases

We would like to see

2+ years of experience of successfully leading a team of engineers

Proficiency with C++

Experience with systems programming and/or Distributed Systems

Ability to effectively communicate, challenge and influence team members, peers and stakeholders 

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Salary Range = 200000 - 300000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
